In the Mood for Blossoms
In my knitwear design project, I explored how knitted textiles reflected the changing roles of women through intergenerational education, connecting it with traditional Chinese bead curtain elements to express the emotional bond with my grandmother. Utilizing Cubist principles, I challenged conventional perspectives by examining bead curtain structures from various angles. These curtains symbolized cultural heritage and the transition of women from traditional dependence to independence. This project not only showcased my reflections on women's role evolution but also embodied a profound narrative of familial bonds.
