Feminine Healing Space, 2024
Inspired by my mother's postpartum depression, I created a therapeutic space with interactive wearable knitted devices and immersive color therapy. This project underscores the importance of postpartum depression and current treatment limitations. By integrating fiber optics with knitting, I transformed light's shape and texture, breaking the traditional flatness of knitted fabrics to create richer spatial experiences. I integrated materials of varying softness and hardness with fiber optic knitted textiles into wearable devices. This fusion of tactile and visual elements promotes exploration and awareness, aiming for comprehensive therapeutic solutions.
